AnnaBelle´s Homemade Applesauce

Especially during the cold autumn and winter months it´s best 😀 – HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE! Quick and easy and healthy and yummy! For me it´s a very important thing to eat a good applesauce because I can´t eat apples (fructose intolerance) but I like the taste of them 😀 If you also like high quality, homemade food -> this is your recipe 😀

You need:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/8 l water or apple juice (unsweetened)
  • a bit lime juice
  • cinnamon (you can also a pinch of ginger powder)

Peel apples, cut them into slices and core them. Add sugar in cooking pan and melt until caramelized (1-2 minutes). Add apple slices, reduce the heat and stir until the sugar comes off of the pan. Then, add water or juice, cover and cook until apples are soft. Mash the apples with a potato masher or big wooden cooking spoon. Finally add some more juice and season (as you like) with sweetener, lime juice and cinnamon. Fill into jars and evacuate or eat warm 😀
